"The Day Chooses You!"

When it comes to tactical excellence, few instructors bring the depth of field experience and instructional expertise that Bo Patton does. A seasoned Texas Peace Officer, Patton has spent over a decade honing his skills on the front lines of law enforcement. Since 2011, he has served in a range of critical roles including Patrol Sergeant, Corporal, Field Training Officer, and Team Leader of an Emergency Response Team (ERT/SWAT). His background is not just extensive—it’s elite.
Bo’s reputation as a highly capable and adaptive law enforcement professional is mirrored in his dedication to instructor development. He holds certifications across a wide spectrum of high-impact disciplines: Firearms Instruction, Patrol Rifle, ASP, Defensive Tactics & Combatives, and more. A certified TCOLE Basic Instructor since 2016 and a NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, Bo has been shaping the next generation of officers since 2014.
As a trainer, Bo has become known for his clear-eyed focus on performance under pressure. Whether it's firearms training, building clearing tactics, or close-quarters combatives, his approach centers on the fundamentals, speed, accuracy, and decision-making under duress. His instruction is rooted in real-world experience, delivered with the precision and intensity of someone who’s been there and done it.
Outside of the department, Bo sharpens his edge through competitive shooting and martial arts. As a USPSA A Class shooter in Limited Optics, he continues to test his skillset on a national stage. But it’s not just skill that makes Bo stand out, his unmistakable flair and sense of humor bring a unique energy to the competitive scene. Known for competing in full 1980s-inspired outfits, think neon colors, short shorts, and retro shades, Bo doesn’t just shoot fast; he makes it fun. His signature “sprinkle painted” competition pistol is as loud and colorful as his personality, turning heads while he’s clearing stages with precision and speed.

In the martial arts world, his training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (purple belt), Muay Thai, Sambo, and wrestling informs a practical and disciplined combatives methodology—one he brings directly into the training room. Bo’s passion for developing others is unmistakable. Whether he’s running a live-fire drill or demonstrating a takedown technique, his goal remains constant: to help officers build core skills that translate to high-stress, real-world encounters.
His teaching style emphasizes not only technical excellence but also mental resilience, situational awareness, and the mindset required for survival and success in the field.
